The heart of St Malo is the old walled town. It was reconstructed after the devastation of World War II which destroyed almost 80% of the « Intra-Muros ».

Explore the walkway along the ramparts offering views on the Emerald Coast. You will see several forts built on little islets.

Enter inside the Saint Vincent Cathedral, which date back to the 12th century, and admire the beautiful stained glass windows from Max Ingrand (20th). You could also see the funeral slab of Jacques Cartier who was benedicted in that Cathedral before leaving from Saint Malo to Canada on May 16th, 1535.
